1. Packing tips
The contents of drawers are best emptied from all cupboards, with lifting out and in at your address as well as loading or unloading into the moving van, we may need to hold the items at an angle for a while where the contents may fall out, also the contents will make the items heavier than necessary again.
Please seal the moving boxes with our tape, in the box "note" you can write on top of the box where this box should go at the new address, we will then place it there so you will have less to go back and forth with full boxes at your new address.
Please carry out the packing of fragile items with an ample amount of packing paper, the volume of the packing material can then absorb the shocks during lifting and transport.
Basically, the common thread is, everything that can fit in boxes, actually pack it in boxes, anything that doesn't fit in boxes just leave it at your current address, we pack these items as well as furniture with moving blankets, in the moving van.
After unpacking, you can pull the tape off the boxes again, only a small top layer of the box will be pulled along, this allows us to use boxes again.
Below are instruction videos for assembling the moving boxes, as well as for packing fragile items, questions can also be asked to the person delivering the boxes or of course through our office.
For hanging clothes, we have wardrobes in the van, we take these ourselves with the moving van, we will hang the clothes over for you from your home into these wardrobes. At your new address, we will transfer the hanging clothes from our wardrobes from the van into your cupboards in your new home. Please do pack loose hangers, jumpers etc. that tend to slip off the hangers, in the moving boxes.
2. Moving boxes
We deliver the moving boxes and packing materials to our moving customers in advance, usually about 4 weeks before the moving date, earlier is possible but later is also possible, you tell us. Collection takes place after the customer informs us (please e-mail us) that the boxes are empty. For our customers who wish to collect and return the boxes themselves, we have a separate container in our car park.
Daily between 3pm and 5pm we also sell moving boxes to third parties and/or DIY moving customers, used ones cost €2.50 each and new ones €3.50 each. PLEASE PAY ! payment please only in cash and in exact change, we have no change or cash in the premises, unfortunately we do not yet have the possibility of PIN payments.
Collect or return removal boxes yourself?
If you wish to collect moving boxes yourself or return them later, you can do so in this box container in our car park at our location in Hoorn, the site is closed outside office hours. After your collection or return request, we will make sure you can place your boxes in this container on our car park. You can drop by any time you like, even if we are not in the office or furniture storage.
